Can anyone recommend a good cat behaviourist please?
I have looked on the APBC website, but i'm looking for a recommendation for someone who is more 'feline' oriented.
Thank you,

However, it was after her second visit, this time with bite marks next to her jugular, that I've recommended a behaviourist! This cat means it!

RE: Cat behaviourist?

PS Aside from the pathetic person who gave me one star for a perfectly reasonable post (go and get yourself a life), there is an interesting article in this week's Vet record on cat behaviour with further reference to a paper which is available on-line. I haven't had time yet but it may be worth a gander.

RE: Cat behaviourist?

I would recommend Vicky Halls but she is based in Kent and there's a post on her website that she is fully booked until the end of 2017.

This usually something you can deal with yourself with a careful (and honest) history of the relationship between the owner and the cat with reference to a behaviour guide. IME the reason is always not very deeply hidden in the there. The difference is that the owner is more likely to listen to a behaviourist as they cost 10x more!

RE: Cat behaviourist?

I am in Suffolk. Thanks, Niamh! I will suggest Lucy, she is on the APBC list, but I had never heard of her so was hesitant to recommend her.

This is a Ragdoll who is attacking his lovely owner, completely unprovoked. Unless you consider 'ceasing to stroke' a provocation!

Lucy Bingley (www.petbehaviourhelp.co.uk) is Stowmarket based and very nice - she does both dogs and cats, although I have never actually referred a cat to her so can't vouch for how good she is with them - but she's certainly very knowledgeable and lovely!
