Not a cat but a similar size! Grace arrived during 4th year exams instead of being shot as she wouldn't work or breed! She's keeps us amused as she's definitely not normal!

I've never understood why women try and talk men round. There is a very direct, albeit occasionally messier, way of persuading the male of the species.

This is my extremely recent addition - typical soft touch vet acquisition (2 broken legs, head injury, owner had no money) and crazy - swinging from the top of her cage this morning despite the splint. Surgery planned for Monday.

I would like to post a video of one of our cats sitting on top of the German Shepherd but it says the file is too big and I don't know how to make it smaller!

When he gets fed up, he just rolls over and the cat walks off!

Also have a tracker on this cat to keep an eye on what he is up to! Can talk to him as well!

Our cat has his own mobile phone but only has 10 minutes a month talk time, not sure about the number of text messages he is entitled to! Called Weenect!

He's lovely! Sadly I've discovered one of my resident cats will not tolerate any cats in the house other than his brother (have tried a couple!), so we are full on the cat front.

Still trying to talk the OH into another dog, though, and may be getting somewhere...

I'm so jealous! I married a vet, so you'd assume it would all go well with pets, but he developed allergies to all things furry. Trumpet reminds me of my first cat Fred, also a rescue. He's gorgeous.

Oh well - if we are sharing cat pix - this is the latest addition to my menagerie. He just arrived out of the blue, aged about one year. We live in the middle of no where and can only presume he arrived in a delivery van or such like, as he is obsessed with getting into vehicles. Anyway he's the most affectionate cat ever - just has to be into everything and loves everyone ...

His name - 'Tiggy-Wiggy-Poo-Poo'.... and yes, it was me that named him.

Me too. But this time I just asked them (Bleakholt...I'm sure you know them David) if they had a cat who is good with dogs and children that they were struggling to re-home. Although he is only 2 he doesn't like other cats and was being very timid in the cattery, meaning prospective owners would overlook him, with him permanently sat in the back of a cat igloo!!! Plus black cats are always difficult to re-home, apparently.

Well they certainly knew their cat...he's been fine with our excitable border collie and kids!

Rescues always make the best bullet proof cats. If you think what they've been through to get to the shelter and are still lovely...great animals. Though I normally take the oldies.

Our latest cat is called "The Prisoner"

Her real name is Zenda and we've had her to stay (confined to our dining room) for a few weeks at a time (away from the dog and other elderly cat) 3-4 times over the last few years when her owner was in hospital. Given her name and enforced incarceration the nickname stuck.

She's now officially ours and gained house arrest then finally full freedom. It's now habit to call her The Prisoner - earned us a few strange looks from cat sitter and cattery when making a booking.

[/quote] And more importantly what is the name shortlist? Kids always come up with great suggestions. Our late lamented Border Terrier was named Maisie as our daughter (then 5) wanted, totally seriously, to call her "The Amazing Puppy". Maisie was easier to shout.
