Also because despite the awfulness of it it made me smile as I could hear echoes of Hannah's posts over the years.

So called budget practices often do a better job on social media than they do for their patients.

Sadly traditional practices can find this hurting and one man band vets are potentially more vulnerable to stress where they lack a support structure.

No vet should be bad mouthing another vet. Sh+t happens to us all and there will be cases that everyone can look back knowing they could have done better.

That said clients do tend to spin things that have been said. Did that guru say there was a chance that the jaw was damaged during the dental procedure or did he/she say it had been?

I do get disheartened when stories get back to me about this practice (even other local practices!) which are unfair. Sadly just the world we live in, all too easy for the miserable people of the world to grumble.

Still miss Wynne piping up with her wonderfully non-PC attitude to the world. What on earth would she have thought of the political chaos we have at the moment? I would love to know!!

RE: Hannah RIP

just very very sad. Today one of our vets was really upset by a returning guinea pig second opinion, the creature had been elsewhere following unsuccessful treatment elsewhere by an un uncertified none diplomate self proclaimed guru who had accused our vet ,very incorrectly of damaging its jaw during an unsuccessful dental procedure. The client had realised that the guru was basically just stirring it for self gain and promptly legged it.

You do wonder how low has the profession sunk to get involved in such antics? is it really worth it ?. Maybe some people just need to get more of a life outside practice just so that it does not eat them alive ?. How do some of these people sleep at night and maybe this is what happens when they cant?.

We had a horrible situation at a local practice a few years ago where the vet who had committed suicide was found by his partner (sexual and business partner) and when she went to call emergency services someone went in through the open door and robbed the practice. How low is it possible to stoop?

RE: Hannah RIP

I was really shocked and saddened to read of this in the news. Somewhat surprised in that Hannah seemed such a sensible, feet on the ground 'strong' person. As well as chatting on these forums we had also talked directly through the msg system. God knows what pressure she was under and presumably clinical depression must have also developed triggered by that pressure.

Really sorry to learn of her loss. My sympathy and thoughts are with her family and staff.

We all had a bit of a smile that she still managed to get almost the last word.

It was such a waste especially when you realise there was so much more she could have done to improve animal welfare even if the business went belly up!

I think many of us viewed her as being a little isolated and therefore perhaps a little vulnerable.
