That said it has been many years since we did that and I would not go back to it now!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;At one stage we had to use human propofol because of supply shortages. Big dogs had their own vial, any remains thrown out. The remaining Propoflo Plus was used for the smaller cases.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Normal Propoflo/Vetofol etc has no preservative in it, so once the bottle has been breached it can only be used for 24 hours. Not too much of a problem in a busy practice, as you can usually use a whole bottle in that time (at least).&lt;/p&gt;
