Currently with RVC doing a and b modules. Yes sometimes I lack direction but the ability to be flexible is a great bonus for me.

I've done two C modules (small animal medicine) with Liverpool (after doing A and B with RVC) and would recommend.

It's only the journal club that has set timings and you can normally swap if you can't attend the one you are given. Online lectures can be listened to at any time, then you have journal articles to read and case reports to write. The modules are pretty hard work and full on whilst doing them - I work part-time and have 2 young children and struggled to fit it all in - working most evenings at home was the only option, which was exhausting and nearly broke me! It does have the advantage that at the end you (hopefully!) have a module under your belt though. Not sure how much support RVC offer but I'm not sure I would have had the motivation to do it on my own, and not sure how you find the relevant up to date information to get your knowledge to the right level on your own.

Was the timing easy to cope with alongside working full time? We do our own OOH as well but should be able to tweak the rota for evening sessions. Would be an e-learning candidate as it's a 3.5 hour trek to Liverpool.

Has anyone done RVC? There does seem to be more structure - as in deadlines to work to, just wondering about the support or is it all self directed?

+1 for Liverpool I did my CertAVP with them. It was well structured and I learned a lot, not just a post-nominal.

I've just completed my medicine cert through Liverpool. I liked it because it gave me deadlines to work to, and there is more structure compared to other certificate providers (as far as I've heard).

Weekly lectures to watch and readings, I found the support at Liverpool good. Plus it's close to me for when it came to the full participant CPD days and synoptic exam
