I took part in a similar scheme when I was a clinical 4th and 5th year student: It was based at the RSPCA in Birmingham and lasted 4 -6 weeks in total, it was called "seeing practice" and it didn't cost a bean (It goes without saying that I am eternally grateful to the RSPCA and the clinical staff there for their help)

I'm a bit puzzled by the phrase "will have worked on a minimum of 8 bitch spays" - does that mean that the participant does the whole spay, part of a spay or just assists?

I'm not being funny, but should this not be covered in the schools? If I was paying somewhere north of £45k for tuition, I certainly would expect to be fit for purpose, ready for clinical practice, up to speed and good to go on day one!
