Very bright (can be dimmed) but completely out of the way and generates no meaningful heat. Very happy with it for that use. Also great for minor surgery. (the 150 is a great theatre light)

As a general principle..... yes!
I need to wear a head torch to do things like cat dentals,
You are in dire need of more lighting!

RE: Mobile light?

You can get some very bright adjustable LED desk lamps which aren't bad for occasional use.

RE: Mobile light?

I've bought some LED lights designed for building in the DYI shop for non-sterile poorly lit areas. Cheap and effective. You can direct the light upwards and downwards, if I wanted them mobile I'd mount them on a stand for hanging the fluids on. (I'm a tight bugger, I know).

RE: Mobile light?

I know what you mean about them taking up space, but I didn't find it too much of an issue in previous practices. I find it more cumbersome having a head torch on, goggles and a face mask when doing dentistry. Personal choice thing I guess!

RE: Mobile light?

I find mobile lights are cumbersome and take up lots of floor space. I bought these some time ago (though I have them on a head band rather than glasses - type mount) and they are brilliant. I bought them primarily for dentistry, but use them on ALL ops - brilliant for seeing into the depths of deep abdomens, the light is always pointed where you want it. They are not cheap but are worth every penny. The battery charges quickly and gives, if I remember correctly, 17 hours of light per charge!
