&lt;p&gt;Agree the illustrations are weird, but they are lovely to read out loud to your child; I didn&amp;#39;t read them as a child or have them read to me, so I was sceptical to start with, but I am enjoying them now! I am definitely going to try the &amp;#39;What a Mess&amp;#39; series now though!&lt;/p&gt;
