Very sorry to hear this. Digging in depths of my memory think a chap year below us at college is Sheffield based , did a modular course together few years ago and was still there then. Might be worth checking , nice chap Phil Tricklebank.

Messaged my friends, they suggested :

" I reckon her best bet would be vets now Sheffield branch is always after ad hoc locums, other than that, Springfield vets also do their own out of hours and often need locums too! "

How awful for all of you, not in or near Sheffield myself unfortunately, but I think a college friend lives there or near so I will contact them and see if they can help or know someone who might be able to. Otherwise, another vote for AirBnB

Gosh, that is awful, I'm so sorry.

I am in Sheffield but can't help you, I'm sorry. I will ask my boss though when I see him next week.

However, I would second Airbnb. It is a really economical way to stay in places, especially if there are a few of you. I have booked though them several times and it has always been great. We also rent out our house in Shropshire with them, so have experience from both sides and it has been universally positive!

Sorry I can't help, my daughter is a physio in sheffield but lives in a single room in a house share so can't help. But I just wanted to offer my sympathies. And a suggestion to try airbnb as daughter has found some very reasonable flats there when friends come for the weekend.
