Thing is, my understanding is that VT really doesn't like mentioning competitors like VetSurgeon in its editorial (which is fair enough), so when I sent the story over, I deliberately excluded any mention of me / VS. Still, a bit surprised they didn't illustrate the story.

To be clear, the first typo which Lucy highlighted was fixed! As to etiquette / etiguette, that is a 'q'.

Julie Innes - Blink and you'll miss it, but Page 3 of Vet Times today, bottom right hand corner. Surprised they didn't illustrate it, as the vetsurgeon logo was so small it wouldn't have been identifiable if they had. Hey ho, you win some you lose some.

Not particularly arguing with the postage (placed an order, mug and posters) but they do not seem to give any delivery details until you get to the payment stage!

You untick a box but I did need to unsubscribe to stop the emails!

Bob Russell Well, I agree £4.15 is a little steep, but as I remember the other supplier I tried charged less, but more for the poster. A bit swings and roundabouts, but this method has the convenience of handling the printing etc.

My suspicion is that they might not have ignored the request, just not made it obvious which box you needed to tick to opt out in the first place. But I'm sure a company as big as Zazzle will abide by the rules, and there should be an unsubscribe button at the foot of any email they send out.

Was not too impressed to have to wait to the end before being told how hefty the P&P is. Not easy to find before going through much of the order process.

Also have ignored my request for no mailings! I know this is how many companies make their money but it is irritating.

Had my first delivery today. The mugs with cartoons taken from the poster.

The quality looks good to me, so I've now made them available for sale on Zazzle. They are £10.30 per mug, which includes a 5% royalty which I shall be donating to VBF.

Thank YOU so much Julie, I would never in a million years have written such a good poem (or thought of asking my neighbour to do the illustrations without your inspiration).

Just placed the order for posters and mugs from zazzle. Can't wait for them to arrive! And if they are up to scratch, I'll be heading straight back to the post office to send one on to you. Perhaps you could PM me your address, and let me know whether you'd prefer A2 or A3.

Latest update: Artwork now ready, and I am trying two places for production of the posters.

I have ordered a copy of the poster in A3 and A2, on different paper from www.printed.com. Says they will be with me on Monday.

Also trying another production website: www.zazzle.com which allows for designs to be used for all kinds of promotional items beyond just posters.

On zazzle, in addition to the posters, I've also kicked off with a VetSurgeon.org coffee mug, which sports the 'He did it' cartoon from the poster on one side of the mug, and the VetSurgeon logo on the other.

I'm waiting for a reply to a technical question from zazzle before completing the order, but with luck their posters / mugs should arrive next week too, after which we'll be able to make a decision on the best supplier to use.

Julie Innes, hope you like it.

Two versions with different fonts. Personally, I think the first one is clearest.

I have two options as regards how you will be able to order these:

a) Make the source files available, for you to upload to a poster printing company ( like https://www.printed.com) yourselves, and order / pay for as many as you want.

b) Use a company like https://www.zazzle.co.uk/, where I upload the files, and you just go and order as required.

On balance, I think b) would be easier - it is one less step for everyone - but I am not sure whether there are differences in the print quality on offer from these two sources.

I think what I will do is order a copy myself from each supplier and we should go with whatever works out as best quality (I don't think there'll be much difference in the price, although option b) would allow me to charge a markup to pass to VBF, which has been suggested).
