&lt;p&gt;No birth control, no euthanasia. If you have an unwanted cat, you take it to the temple and the monks care for it and the numerous offspring it goes on to produce. Gifts offered by the public to assist in the upkeep so a nice little earner.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Not sure there is a Buddhist attitude any more than a Christian one. Perhaps there are fewer &amp;#39;Victorian&amp;#39; hang-ups or puritanical guilt that some other religions seem to revolve around.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Nice idea but not the real world!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I know we are vets, on a vet forum talking about animals, but mistreatment of other humans is leaps and bounds worse and far more depressing, IMO.&lt;/p&gt;
