Does anyone have any suggestions for software to help create a practice manual? Something that give you structure and functions like indexing, searching pages etc?
I am not a big fan of word processors so I don't know where to start from

RE: Practice Manual Writing Software

We used the open office word processor - you can save the documents as .doc or .pdf or as web pages depending on what you want to do with it (i.e. put it across a network or just have it on one main PC). You can use anchors (bookmarks) and html links for indexing and cross-referencing and, as with most windows-based software ctrl-F will do a search of the whole document.

And it's FREE!

We use a cheap Google facility for our practice intranet, which is, for us, much more flexible then a e-document somewhere on our network.

https://www.bettercloud.com/monitor/google-sites-intranet/

We pay a nominal sum for more storage. For more info message me.

RE: Practice Manual Writing Software

may be worth looking at adobe as you can get a writer version rather than just a reader.

it would create a pdf document which would be indexed and searchable. not sure how much it costs although there may be alternatives.
