Bob is right, technically this would require an export certificate.

The PETS passport scheme should not apply to a commercial sale. Sadly the misuse of the scheme has resulted in many of the difficulties we are facing.

Similarly the rescue organisations should not be relying on passports.

There are often trips by ferry transporting dogs to the continent for rehoming, a greyhound transport company may be able to help or advise.

Doesn't have to be that complicated (and expensive), it is not a long flight. The seller can book it and take it to the airport with its pet passport and a declaration that it is fit to travel and a dog kennel. You pay for the transport of a live animal calculated by weight and volume of the kennel with dog. You can pick it up at your airport on arrival, formalities should be not much more complicated than entering by ferry.

We have a client bringing a dog into Robin Hood airport (Doncaster) from Israel using Anglo World Cargo, and he is a hard man to please so might be worth ringing them? I think they do imports from all areas of the world.
