If anyone here has contacts with an overseas charity that can make use of some unwanted drugs (past UK expiry date) please let me know.

RE: Overseas charity, unwanted drugs?
Legally, you're not supposed to use out of date medicines, even for overseas charities. Worldwide Veterinary Service can't accept them anymore. Due to a VMD stipulation, if I remember correctly.
"Out of date products

It is illegal to supply a product after the expiry date shown on the pack. Any out of date products should be disposed of in accordance with the wording on the product literature.

Some products (e.g injectables) once they’re opened must be discarded after a period of time stated on their packaging. This is due to EU and national legislative requirements to ensure the stability and safety of the product. The expiry date is usually 28 days after opening but it can be shorter or longer."

Even if this is ignored on welfare grounds then there may be issues with the import into the target country! Not sure I would be happy relying on student couriers. Even more important if there are plane changes in certain countries!

My advice would be to package them up and post them. It is often not that expensive to send parcels nowadays.

RE: Overseas charity, unwanted drugs?

Legally, you're not supposed to use out of date medicines, even for overseas charities. Worldwide Veterinary Service can't accept them anymore. Due to a VMD stipulation, if I remember correctly.

RE: Overseas charity, unwanted drugs?

Help in Suffering, based in Jaipur.
