I found it a tad confusing what exactly he was trying to show, though I can go with the concept, particularly

RE: Doctoring without Drugs

I agree , my 94 year old aunt was worried about the effect of a third course of antibiotics. Even GP's seem to have to keep the punters happy. Sending them out with a prescription for antibiotics probably gets the patient off their backs while mother nature cures the problem. Clearly now (as always) totally unacceptable and patients must get used to the idea that antibiotics are critical drugs to be reserved for limited situations.

A cough perhaps but only after an X-ray suggesting infection?

Antidepressants doled out like sweeties while the underlying stresses and strains are not dealt with. Kids going through the difficulties of teenage years being medicated instead of talked to! Internet and peer pressure, exam stress on top of the normal miseries of adolescence damped down rather than addressed.

Drugs as a short cut to sorting out the real problems seem to be creating their own self-perpetuating crisis.

RE: Doctoring without Drugs

Probably the ones on whom it worked weren't in pain in the 1st place...............just wanted the sick note

These documentaries are also invariably over-dramatised and full of packaging/repetition to pad them out for the required time. I felt another alternative medicine nutjob show coming on and didn't feel like getting angry so watched the paralympics instead which gave a warm fuzzy feeling!
