I have a reflective essay to compose based upon on the writing of my Master’s dissertation (a literature review). You thought about what had happened and then you thought about what you might do better in the future. There is nothing new under the sun .
This brought forth a bubbling throaty chuckle - primarily the thought of Iain in a yurt.....with crystals.....(urinary crystals? Brought on by xs malt imbibition? - naw, that'd be - wait for it, now - taking the piss). And I have say the thought of gazing at Iain's navel quite put me off my muesli mix!

RE: Reflective Essay

In the olden days "reflection" used to be called "thinking".
I never included any feelings in mine. I've taken it as a look back to see what I have learnt from the process and what I would do differently the next time. The idea being you develop academically through the process and you are showing that. It does get a bit cringe worthy. They seem to like specific examples of things you will apply to your clinical practice (with the CertAVP stuff, anyway).

I think if you did a critical appraisal of a case that had gone badly then talking about your feelings would likely be appropriate.

(got a distinction in my A module with no feelings in there whatsoever)

[/quote]

Why am I not surprised to read your response!?!? (And this response comes after reflecting upon how I felt having read your previous responses in other threads - AND having read, and reflected upon, a comment from another asserting that Yorkshire was somehow implicit/complicit in your psyche.). Upon further reflection how do I now feel? Is it fair? Do I give a shit?

Tell you what I do feel, though... ... I feel for Iain. (But without discussing, er, reflections.) (I'm allowed to say that - he is/was a buddy.)
