Particularly when the generic has been used successfully for years and initial testing was done on animals, usually including dogs yet veterinary licensing dictates further unnecessary testing.

Completely agree...horse racing, greyhound racing, dog breeding, intensive farming. How do we go about speaking out against these things? National newspapers?

If we're going to speak up against these, then we need to add additional action over breeding dogs and cats with extreme characteristics. Also greyhound racing - how can a "sport" exist where charities need to be set up to mop up the animal welfare issues associated with it.

Why does the veterinary profession not speak out against this? It seems 'we' are complicit in supporting this cruel industry.
