Head and Shoulders is alleged to have caused blindness in dogs in early trials so I hate it with a vengance. Also reports of human shampoo on dogs igniting under the hair dryer! -will have to look up the brand. Several shampoos can inactive topical insecticides like Frontline and Advantage so we only advise the use of Dermcare's general range of dog shampoo like Aloveen or Natural shampoo. Not sure about how repackaging rules applied but once you decant it and relabel it my experience is you own it and all its good times and any bad times.

RE: shampoo

I like Neutrale shampoo which is made / marketed by Dechra. It is basically Malaseb without the medication. Smells nice and doesn't dry out the coat.

Martin's comments about pH and dog skin vs human skin are correct, so I'm surprised to see he was red starred. Equally surprised to see Michaels comment was so popular. im glad I'm not his dog.

RE: shampoo

Hi Patrick, I thought I'd reach out to a similar manufacturer who may know of a company, and they actually would be interested in speaking with you directly to see if they can assist themselves.

Don't be daft - it's a bloody dog. No one should have to wash a dog 'regularly' anyway.

My little Patterdale has very sensitive skin and is fine with Head and Shoulders.

RE: shampoo

Not sure that it matters that much as long as the shampoo is thoroughly rinsed.

We do have some Pet Head shampoo at home that did not sell! Nice smell.

Also happy to use chlorhexidine scrub for the really nasty ones.

None of which answers the OP but we have never found a brand that sold well.
Yes - just use whatever you have on the side of the bath - Head & Shoulders is fine.

baby shampoo if sensitive skin.

[/quote]Human shampoos are not suitable for dogs. They are pH -ve and dog's skin/coat is pH+ve so same way you will get a dry flaky scalp if you wash with soap, dogs will get problems if you frequently wash with human shampoo, even baby shampoo. Liquid soap is actually better for emergency use.

RE: shampoo

Any one know the rules about re-packing?
