Having bought a house recently, the conveyancing system is stuck in the 1970s! But why the professional body was funding up-front a system that should be paid for by end users (buyers or legal firms) is a big question.

and successive governments lack of accountability ....

I am no fan of any of the parties involved in this. I fell out with politics in abiut 2000 and didn't support anyone since then, so there's no need to make political capital out if this here.

Sucessive gvts have been in charge of this - it's a disgrace
