Just had a request from BBC London News (TV), which is doing a story on the petition to protect the title RVN.
They have the story covered from the 'pro' side already, but are looking to interview someone who is prepared to put the other side of

RE: BBC TV interviewee needed in London tomorrow

Evelyn Could also fine the criminals, so, ideally, the entire cost of running the country would be raised from fines, and the law abiding would be freed from taxation.

I'm pretty certain "nurse" was once a protected title, which was the reason for RANA Then the law changed, and it became non-protected, so RCVS were able to change to VN

Non-registered 'nurses' can be as good or better than some of the qualified ones.
And what about those head nurses who are unqualified? Head Kennel Maid? It doesn't really work, does it?!

Calling unqualified staff technicians is too much like calling rat catchers "rodent operatives" If no-one is anyone in particular, then what incentive is there for nurses to bother qualifying? Anyway, imagine the confusion if a veterinary surgeon who'd qualified in this country did an internship in the USA There, the equivalent of our RVNs (allowed to perform minor surgery) are called veterinary technicians, and are more highly qualified than the nurses, who are the equivalents of out ANAs
