Martin Atkinson Your wish is my command. 'Claim CPD' has now been upgraded so that if, when you visit your profile, you wish to 'unclaim' something you previously claimed, you just click the link to the page you claimed, hit the 'Claim CPD' button again, and change the time to 0. That will now remove it completely. Not sure how it will affect those things already claimed as 0 time, but think if you just resave with 0, that should do it. Or save it as 10 minutes. Then return and save as 0 to remove.

Cinzia Gandini - I THINK the odd code has been fixed in CPD certs now - haven't yet double checked yours yet.

I can see the problem.

In the list of CPD-qualifying activity that accompanies the certificate ...

In the few instances where the subject title of CPD claimed includes inverted commas (not sure if both single and double or just one or the other, or if any other characters, like '&' are affected), they are displayed as the html code for that character. In this case, & # 3 9 ; is displayed instead of a '

This is not browser specific - it is something to do with the software that generates the certificate; as I say, it only affects subject titles with unusual characters (so not common).

I'll discuss with the techies and see what we can do about it.

yes on the certificate itself, I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 15.010.20056, I tried both IE 11 and Mozilla Firefox latest update. Thanks I sent you an email

Hi Cinzia Gandini - do you mean on the certificate itself? If so, can you email me a copy (to support@vetsurgeon.org) and I'll take a look.

I misunderstood the original question and didn't realise it only referred to here but thought it might refer to the RCVS- recording site that I use.

Not sure if i understand the point, but 'Claim CPD' on VetSurgeon isn't an alternative to the RCVS website, but a way of recording time on here quickly and easily, then produce a certificate / record which details the total time spent here, which you can then upload to the RCVS website (ie adding all the time spent here in one hit, rather than having to go and record each thing individually over on the RCVS website).

At the moment, editing a record here and setting it to 0 does adjust the time claimed accordingly on the VetSurgeon CPD Certificate, it just doesn't remove the title of the page you originally claimed from the detailed list.

I will get that fixed, we're just working on something else really important at the moment - which should be ready to unveil soon!

If you use the RCVS website you can delete an entry then re-enter it correctly.

Hi Liz w The solution to that is to open a new browser window or tab and view two pages simultaneously (you can do that by clicking a link and holding the ctrl or shift or alt key - I can't remember which - simultaneously).

The record CPD function is page specific, so you can't enter something and then navigate away from that page without saving, or it has no way of knowing what page you wanted to record the CPD against.

Arlo, would it be possible to be able to switch pages on a thread while leaving the CPD open. I've been using the cpd bit to note useful bits of information but at the moment it goes blank each time you go onto a new page.

Thanks Arlo, it is now reset to 0 hrs so you can see it to delete it permanently and the correct thread accredited.

At the moment, you can:

Identify the item in the CPD section in your profile and navigate to it from there.

Then press the 'claim CPD' button again.

Change the time to 0.

It stays in your profile, but the item is set to 0 claimed time.

I'll chat with the techies about having any items with a 0 time deleted automatically.
