I honestly believe that they are so happy at work they can&amp;#39;t be bothered with holidays. No-one is ever clock watching, often they are here an hour after their shift ended just chatting or helping the other one out&amp;nbsp;and not expecting to be paid. That said they are hardly worked off their feet as we&amp;#39;re not exactly busy these days.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is in stark contrast to one previous employee who was always late, had numerous sick days, left early and took more than her fair share of holiday then complained when I docked her pay. Mind you, she was the one who sent her boyfriend in to beat me up when it all came to a head!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Don&amp;#39;t know about the law...but as the staff only get 4 weeks a year (5 for vets) they take (and should take) all of it! Everyone needs a break!! &amp;nbsp;Do they struggle to get other people to cover their hours maybe????&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It isn&amp;#39;t given for a &amp;#39;specific purpose&amp;#39;. I hope it does help with staff retention (as does replacing uniforms whenever we are asked, pay rises every January without fail, not deducting pay for a doctor&amp;#39;s appointment etc, making sure parents get to the child&amp;#39;s nativity, alongside all the other multitude of small things that matter to an employee).&lt;/p&gt;
