A minority of vets consider they are a signature for hire without accountability. Vaccination cards are considered important for disease control by kennels, puppy classes etc so any vet should complete them as completely as possible.

We have had this discussion many times but a blank certificate bearing a few labels and an illegible signature but no pet details is absolutely worthless IMO. Any practice allowing this on a regular basis is bringing the whole profession into disrepute!

At least when compulsory chipping is introduced there is no way for practices to justify this type of behaviour.

Report it!

Of course the client won't take the puppy back because she feels sorry for it, The RCVS is a spineless, toothless organisation that will do nothing to discipline the vet because he's not an easy target even though he is a serially offending, slimy scumbag that everyone thinks is wonderful because he's cheap and full of bovine dung and Irish charm. The breeder is out of my jurisdiction and the kennel club is also a spineless, toothless organisation which even if the 'breeder' is registered will do nothing. So I guess its just start the vaccines again and option e!

RE: Undated vaccination certificates

Definitely d
