Must say, as a convert to http://www.abelandcole.co.uk/ , I thought it looked like rather a good idea, though I haven't checked the price yet.
Anyway, they are offering a free two week trial for any veterinary

RE: Dog food to your door

I looked at it for my dog but it doesn't really fit her plethora of issues she has so decided it really wasn't unique or special enough for me. I also found it quite expensive compared to other diets which are cheaper and better quality.

RE: Dog food to your door

Think I'll stick to Aldi's finest for my dog and three cats.

I suppose as a consumer, I'm drawn to the convenience of having it delivered (though I haven't looked at the cost yet), and the scoop thingy. And the name of the dog on the bag is a nice touch.

Personally, I don't really care whether the food is meeting the very specific needs of a 4-year-old cock-a-jack-a-don't-know-which-poo living in the mid latitudes at approx 400ft above sea level. Just as long as the dog likes it.

RE: Dog food to your door

Hmmm...I'm just wondering what dog's specific dietary requirement isn't already covered by a plethora of commercial diets already available. I see a danger of designer diets being concocted by RMB/BARF enthusiasts or owners/breeders who think their breed has a special requirement and ending up with a nutritional deficiency or overload.

I can just about see an advantage for a dog that has a dietary sensitivity but how do you decide what goes in it without extensive food trials first and someone is going to formulate it on the results of food sensitivity blood tests which we know are all but useless?
