&lt;p&gt;To which the answer is: possibly, but I&amp;#39;ve never positively diagnosed a case. The problem however is that if it is causing sudden death unless people bring in their dead rabbits for PM examination we&amp;#39;re not going to know so the incidence may be much higher than realised.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item><item><title>RE: Sudden death in rabbits. Both had HCM and died of cardiac failure due to fright if a fox approached the hutch? Did you actually examine the bodies and can you trust the owner that there hadn&amp;#39;t been some pre-existing symptoms that were missed or ignored? You can&amp;#39;t be expected to speculate without a PM examination and then you may find nothing.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
