PM me, glad to help - i've moved out of clinical practice and know many others who have.

Leaving can always be appropriate; we are hard taskmasters of ourselves and it's difficult to forgive ourselves for trying to save our own lives.

Gently be it said, but perhaps your question should be

" Is it difficult to move?" before you qualify it in any way.

This is a rhetorical question in the end because all jobs, clinical practice, technical posts, academe, journalism, whatever, have issues.

Have your medical advisors nailed down clinical practice as the pernicious influence on your condition? If so, then leaving is appropriate, but if it is something more generic then something else may need thinking about.
