Couple of things.
RSVP!
When an event organiser has enabled the RSVP function for their event, you can tick the box on the right to indicate publicly

RE: CPD & Events on VetSurgeon

I think additional orthopaedics etc or neurology could be useful as some CPD is cross species

RE: CPD & Events on VetSurgeon
I confess I've never looked at the CPD events on the forum but just had a quick look at what's there now.
I've only imported three events so far, bear in mind that I have probably another 200 to go!
The first two are small animal but would be sub-categorised as 'behaviour'.
What I meant was whether, if you are looking for CPD, it would be helpful if I categorised according to behaviour, neurology etc, or whether just listing according to SA/ LA / E etc. is enough.
I really have no idea what information is available to you when these are posted up
I'm setting the categories that event organisers will have to select when they add an event.
Incidentally I don't like the fact that I cannot migrate back to a previous page part way through a post without losing what I written and am only given the choice to stay or leave. I can copy and paste when I go back but it is inconvenient.
I'll ask the techies about this. I just tested it myself, and went to another page mid way through typing this. Then I pressed the back button, and was surprised to find, given your post (and the warning message when I left the page), that my typed content was still there! I don't think anything has changed since the last site in this regard except a warning message that unsaved content may be lost if you navigate away from the page.
I confess I've never looked at the CPD events on the forum
Hopefully, with the vastly improved integration within the search function on the site, and the ability to see who else is going to events, and mapping. and better categorisation, will make it a more popular section of the site.

RE: CPD & Events on VetSurgeon

As you've bumped the thread I thought I'd give you the courtesy of a reply. I confess I've never looked at the CPD events on the forum but just had a quick look at what's there now. The first two are small animal but would be sub-categorised as 'behaviour'. I really have no idea what information is available to you when these are posted up but I would like to think that the organisers would indicate whether they are cardiology, neurology, surgery, internal medicine etc. How far you then go in sub-categorising the sub-categories I'm not sure eg internal medicine - endocrinology - adrenal gland disease.

Incidentally I don't like the fact that I cannot migrate back to a previous page part way through a post without losing what I written and am only given the choice to stay or leave. I can copy and paste when I go back but it is inconvenient.

RE: CPD & Events on VetSurgeon

bump ...
