Interesting. I knew this was being looked at and this was based on the Kreb's Trial work a few years ago. The observation has now been repeated in the 2 cull areas

In the paper it says

Previous studies indicate that badger predation is one of the main causes of hedgehog mortality [15], [17], [18], and that badger density correlates negatively with hedgehog abundance. It therefore seems likely that the observed increase in the counts of hedgehogs in the current study reflects an increase in hedgehog abundance facilitated by reduced predation and higher survival. This is also consistent with previous research suggesting that badger predation has negative impacts on hedgehog population growth

I've always maintained that it is this sideways approach that the NFU needs to take, effectively asking the wildlife groups to challenge eachother

The Lidl coffee is good and half the price. I have not found any others that taste close to Nespresso.

I am very choosy about the coffee I drink!

I quite like Starbucks coffee. I quite like Cafe Nero coffee, not a Costa fan. We have a Nespresso machine, but hate the cheap capsules. We get them mail order. Life is too short to drink crap coffee.

As for the OP I would't waste my money buying expensive coffee in any of them, unless I was trapped in an airport terminal with a 3 hour delay.

I was the star turn last year on Nicki Campbells Radio 5 phone in last year when the cull started (Well they put me on first)

I banged on about Badgers eating Hedgehogs and have since found out that hedgehogs are recovering in these areas, see http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/27144109 where in May this has been noticed (Competing for food.... er no....the badgers eat the Hedgehogs)

The reply from the badger hugger specialist was that cattle were indeed standing on the badgers, and no I'm not kidding

It is this one fact that i wish BVA would push and we might get some in fighting between Mrs Tiggywinkle and Bill Badger

Blast! Nero has far better coffee than Starbucks (which also has a stupid name) or Costa. And personally I don't see any place for milk in coffee, anyway.

We are all avoiding cafe Nero here too. One if our farmers phoned defra to say he had a young coughing badger in his field and did they want to pm it., he has just gone down with TB. Apparently they didn't want it , then asked what he was going to do, he said he was going to shoot it to put it out of its misery. The whole situation is a mess, to do a TB test now involves three tines as much paperwork, we havehad to take on more office staff to keep up. The public need to realise that the Badgers are suffering from the disease too

Heck that is two coffee chains that I have to boycott. Please don't tell me anything that stops me using Costa, they are about the only ones left!
