&lt;p&gt;How many new owners have taken on a puppy because they feel the need to rescue it from the so called breeder? Cash in hand, the dealer happily orders his next lot of puppies, ready for the next lot of mugs!&lt;/p&gt;

Yet still it is the exception that comes in &amp;nbsp;with a nice, clean, healthy pet from a reputable source and has been given the correct advice on feeding, parasite control and vaccination. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One of my members of staff did this. The mare got larger and larger and then, because nature is truly a miraculous thing, a foal appeared. This was hard work. &lt;p&gt;To be fair to Martin, I have seen clients go through situations where they get a knock-off puppy from a lay-by, puppy soon dies, new owners distraught. Within a month they&amp;#39;ve seen another lovely puppy on gumtree, surprise surprise, it was another sick pup that either dies or needs intensive treatment&lt;/p&gt;
