I thought the new passports looked quite good until I got to the rabies vacc section, I agree the vet details box is very badly designed & far too small! They do ask for the SP number to be written here (I had to do it just outside the box due to lack of space), but it does seem odd that you don't have to stamp this section anymore. Then again, they do come from the government...

I wonder if it's to make the passport layout consistent across Europe, the old style passports from other EU countries had boxes this size. Might have been a better idea to make theirs bigger rather than ours smaller though

Re: New Pet Passports

Why on earth did they not release a draft copy to the profession?
Quote from ET139 EU Pet Passport Guidance Notes for Completion of New Model Passports Issued after 28 December 2014

In England, Scotland and Wales this section [section V] can only be completed by an OV. The OV should sign in this section and must enter name, address, telephone number and SP number. A stamp with these details can be used. The SP stamp must not be used in the signature field.

Because the stamp won't fit in the box. Sheesh, you people are slow.

Come to think of it, if I put my signature in that box there won't be room for anything else at all. Maybe I should sign it in red and overwrite my name and address and SP number in green?

Re: New Pet Passports
I noticed this too, maybe it's because you don't actually need to be an OV (or equivalent) in all countries in order to give a rabies vacc & sign the passport, e.g. Ireland (AFAIK)

Re: New Pet Passports
