Because I've only just switched to a state-of-the-art hosting system which allows me to turn the wick up at will.

In the past, I would have had to change the physical server which is something that is very time-consuming and expensive. Now I just have to press a few buttons.

Also, if the changes I make now have no effect, I can revert back and the whole thing won't have been a waste of money.

But in this case, I'm so pleased with the improved performance that I've just bought 3 years worth!

Oh damn - I could have kept at the old power setting, saved the money, and blamed it on your anti-virus software!

Oh well. Have to say, it has been transformational on my computer so far. Blisteringly fast, and noticeably faster than I've ever seen it run before.

This is all a precursor to the VetSurgeon.org upgrade.

As those of you who visit VetNurse.co.uk to post job adverts for nurses, or participate in the forums there will have seen, we've nearly finished upgrading VetNurse.co.uk. There are still some relatively minor issues and improvements I want to get sorted before we switch it on over here, but it looks like being sooner rather than later.

Well yes now you come to mention it Arlo. However my office computer varies so much in speed depending on what the anti-virus software is doing, how busy the proxy server is and the time of day determining the speed/capacity of the internet connection so I probably would have though nothing of it.
