More gloomy news on animalwelfare. Today's Telegraph - Princess Anne has condemned the inhumane conditions suffered by horses destined for slaughter overseas. Before we joined the EU, we had minimum values legislation which had stopped this evil evil trade.

Article in today's Daily Mail. Only 1 male white rhino left in the world - due to evil poachers. Also recent photo of horrible horrible woman posing with the body of a poor poor giraffe she's just killed, and fish in the NorfolkmBroads dying from algae blooms this early in the season.

Politicians worlwide must have the guts to take action to reverse human growth.

Surely it's a little more complicated than this, just because they're also registered overseas doesn't mean that Tata necessarily use the same creative accounting methods to avoid tax as Google and Starbucks.

To get this thread back to something like it's original theme - the horrendous abuse of animals by humans, there's a petition on Change.org to ban the use of horse urine in hormone medications. Please please please sign it. The suffering of these poor mares,and their foals is heartbreaking. Also, try not to use Pfizer products if you can possibly avoid them- and tell your rep why. Easiest way to make them reform is to hit them where it really hurts - in the pocket.
