189 wins my vote, easy to read, heart included which is obviously relevant, should print on uniforms\headed paper nicely

40 is clear but a bit dated like others have mentioned. The heart designs 211/212 are nice but not as professional in my opinion

28 just seems a bit small and not as clear as 189

Yes, of course, I think the logo needs to be viewed where it will be used and how it works on the website.

Hi All,

Thanks for your input and comments. We are such a diverse and eclectic bunch of people and an equal range of opinions, quite remarkable really - but is really nice to see. Logo design is really hard and whilst nothing stood out head and shoulder above others for me, I've had to pick the one that I like and best fits our website.

40 would be the best, easily, but ditch the unnecessary graphic lump on the left and make the stylised ECG trace (if you must have it) look less like barbed wire.

189 is worded "vet" instead of "veterinary" which instantly condemns it, but that could be corrected. Apart from that, although it's just all the dated cute cliché elements – dog silhouette, cat silhouette, conventional "heart" shape – at least the dog and cat are slightly different from the usual, and I like the way the right edge of the stylised "heart" is puffed out and blue, suggesting a puff of breath. Overall though it still looks like a million others. Would be good for advertising to the public (who possibly like cute cliché) but not so much for advertising to the profession, which Mike stated was the brief.

I'm not the target audience, but for what it is worth, I think much better to have a logo in which any text flows as we naturally read text, and not swirling around the place, or in a circle. It could make the difference between someone reading it and not (i.e. driving past street sign).

I think 40 looks a tad dated and the ECG trace a bit cliched. And that bit with the cat and the dog is to my mind a bit of a mess, with the heart getting a bit lost.

So the vote I'm not entitled to is 189, which looks contemporary, conveys 'heart' quickly, and is easily readable. My one suggestion is that I think the words 'Vet' and 'Centre' need darkening a tad, so as to look as important as 'cardiorespiratory'.

Well I really like 189, I'm please to see it is now in the lead! I think 40 looks really dated, don't have that!

Hi Mike. I don't think any of them are brilliant (sorry!) but #40 would be the favourite. The others with the heart shaped behind the dog and cat look a bit like something coming out of the dogs anal orifice.. Sorry. Maybe these will make up for it..

either number 40 or 189. Number 40 is nice and clear and bold. 189 has slightly too small writing but design is nice.

The top left one is the best IMO. Striking colours and bold, prominent text.

Quite a few good ones, Mike! Must admit that while many of them are very creative and artistic, from a logo and signage point of view, large text and bold coloring is often more easily visible than thin lines and light colors from a distance.
