This might be something we look at when he gets older, will just have to be aware of the oldest new pet Tesco will accept.

Still does not get round the 20% contribution required once they hit 12 yrs. I was pretty relieved when our staffie (Tesco) had a back operation and the total cost to me was £120 (the excess).

We are starting to see a few clients showing reluctance to go for more advanced treatments (esp including MRI) on the grounds that they still have to find hundreds of pounds. Considering the premiums I think this is a bit much.

I've just insured my new Labrador puppy with them - £26 per month for £7k lifetime cover. Can't be sniffed at.

All neutral, I've processed indirect claims through both recently not had any feedback so no news is good news I imagine. Given John Lewis reputation I would imagine its a good bet but you never know.

As a veterinary surgeon I believe there is a significant Pet Plan discount for vets insuring their own pets.
