Are you looking for the original source material? If not then any standard text should do, such as Saunders Veterinary Dictionary.

Original source material includes:

Lawson et al. (1967), Development and eruption of the canine dentition. Br Vet J 123:26-30.

Meyer's 1942 German language dissertation [I can give you a full ref if you care!]

Hoppner's 1956 German language dissertation

Arnall (1961) JSAP 1:169-173

Although if you have an unhealthy interest in the eruption of the permanent third premolar, then Cahill & Marks seminal work of 1982 work would no doubt excite you :

Thanks Michael, I am ok and generally find what I need (currently reading through papers on effects of MDMA administration on mice...), once I find the appropriate database search tool. I'm doing it with Liverpool and they do have a good tutorial. However I was drawing a blank when it comes to dentition!

I'm not sure it's entirely necessary, I have said in my report that I estimated a puppy's age considering size, appearance and dentition, and finding a reference for this may just be me being too keen. Many thanks for that information Evelyn, I will look it up once back on a computer than doesn't run on steam.

Do you mean ageing the dog to a forensic degree? I can't help there. But otherwise, start with Wiggs and Lobprise and follow up their references?
