slightly random but bear with me! I have a school reunion coming up, sadly two of my teachers have passed away since we left, so in memory of them we (as a year) are each buying a book for the school which is related to what we do now

Re: Book recommendation

Calvin Schwabe Veterinary Medicine and Human Health, sounds boring but is enormously well written and has all the classic and heroic discovery stories of One Health with the vets' unique contributions at centre. Especially inspiring to show that vet medicine has so much more to offer than practice only.

Covers all clinical aspects, unless you're thinking of beginning at the beginning , in which case surely an Anatomy or Physiology book would be a more useful reference?

Re: Book recommendation
That would be more likely to put them off. What about Martin's book?
Funny you should mention it but one review by Mike Nelson (amongst other complimentary things) said: 'If anyone you know says he or she wants to be a vet, this is a book worth buying for Christmas'.

Now whether he meant if would encourage them or put them off for life I'm not sure!

However just in case here's the link to Kindle again or contact me directly: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Test-Patients-experiences-musings-veterinary-ebook/dp/B00JVTM284/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1402661231&sr=1-1&keywords=a+test+of+patients+martin+atkinson

PS I realise this Kindle link is probably not of much use to the OP other than a brief preview and as Michael has suggested its not available in paper-back from usual sources. So email me at martin@gconnect.com.

but there are a few out there.

Beautifully written as well so should keep the English department happy!

One of the later books if this is already in the library! Available as The Corfu Trilogy but as far as I know this is a paperback or kindle only.

Re: Book recommendation

That would be more likely to put them off.
