What apps for smartphone/tablets do you use? I'm not just thinking about those with a direct use in practice, but perhaps sectioned into those clients might find helpful and those that support general practice admin. Also have the Rossdales lab guide which goes into good depth. NADIS Vet was also good for farm revision although not as easy to use as their website and not all species online available on the app yet so may get deleted soon.

The exotic pet vet is good as a first reference for drug doses/sampling videos etc but I don't find it as useful as the exotics formulary book/bsava manuals as from my position as someone unexperienced I need a bit more info.

MRCVS app I look at every now and then for a catch up on latest news.

Re: Favourite Apps

He's a tight b*****d and won't listen!! Actually its because the all internet goes through a proxy server which is linked to the Vetcom PMS and doesn't like anything else being attached to it. I even had to return an iMac computer I wanted in my office because even after 3 hours of the tech man trying we could not get it to link up.

Being a bit of a dinosaur I'm not a great app person, certainly no veterinary apps on mine, I would rather go to a computer if I wanted to access the internet. The screen of even a large phone I find is still restrictive, phone reception is crap at home and the practice and I don't have WiFi at work.

However, in answer to the OP even though its perhaps not what you wanted, my favourite is Ski Tracks. It was great fun and surprisingly illuminating getting the stats on my last skiing trip.

Re: Favourite Apps

My most useful work associated app has got to be Choc Tox. Enter the weight of your patients, the amount of whatever chocolate (done by cocoa solids) and it gives you and indication of what level of problem you have.

Client app, most regularly used has been the cardalis app to get clients logging sleeping heart rates at home in my cardiac patients (although I don't have any on the drug itself!). Also can set medication reminders.
