Practice had busy weekend I only did Monday but managed three calvings including Caesar , only one dog which is unusual but sun was shining for first time so probably everyone doing other things. Half day today so roll on lunchtime as this morning looks manic already.

Re: On call Role call

No more calls so I got some rest! I normally get 7and a half hours . I can do the odd day on less and have no problems with a very late night or bitch ceasarian in the early hours then going back to work for 8am. When it goes on night after night I start to feel it.

Re: On call Role call

[quote user="KathW"]18 hours awake on Sunday.
How much sleep you guys running on? I cope fairly well on little sleep. I can go a couple of nights with a few hours and be fairly normal. I'm typing this at 2.24am having just got in from a spot of lamping with a farmer client. I will be at work 9am.

Got about 5 hours sleep fri night/sat morning with a calving disturbing each end. Really doesn't bother me.

(If I get 12 hours sleep I don't get up any easier!)

Re: On call Role call

Saturday steady consults all day Home around 5pm I honestly can't remember if I got called out Friday night - I have a feeling I did but it's a blur now!
