 We are looking for a second microchip scanner. 
 We realise that they can be obtained with enough chips but we do not go through them at a heck of a rate. 
 Does anyone have a model that they can recommend? &lt;p&gt;It won&amp;#39;t read some US chips, only ISO ones. Neither will it read Avid-encrypted ones (though we only have 1 client - from the US - with one of these and they carry their own scanner)&lt;/p&gt;

She sells a few litters of puppies and gets them chipped, hence her need for a scanner. When she got the scanner she left it attached to her computer overnight.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When It arrived I took it out of the box and it compares to the DEFRA supplied scanner we have (we were allowed to keep one from the scrapie scheme days when all the other kit went back). &lt;/p&gt;

It would be great to see more vets using these day to day and routinely scanning every dog and cat that came in. The USB link to the computer will allow the database link to the scanner to be updated regularly too.
