The great thing about lepto is that its a bit of a shit bug and its susceptible to almost all antibiotics. You'll be fine.

Anon - it's late so not many people to reassure you, but I will try my best.

We know in people that needlestick injuries from patients carrying known communicable diseases only rarely pass on infection. The dog might not even have lepto.

The World Health Organisation has a document on lepto and amoxycillin is listed as a suitable drug for treatment. The "clav" is irrelevant,

Getting early treatment furthers your chances of preventing infection should the dog have lepto.

You will be fine. I'm sure. The good news is NHS Direct agrees you can drink alcohol in moderation with amoxycillin so I'd chose a single malt, but a tipple of choice may settle your nerves.
