Bit late as I've just joined the forum, but I couldn't get in to work as we had multiple inches of snow. So I made myself my own animal! With a bit of food colouring here and the odd branch there...

Great photos and great snow dog.

If anyone else has any photo of either snow fun or snow chaos e.g. ungritted or blocked roads that they would be happy have in vet times please get in touch with me or post on here.

I'm doing something about the impact of snow around the country so if you have stories to tell about challenges posed by the snow, please let me know.

Have to admit, all I did was make the initial boulder, I was the one in the consuting room whilst Tim & Hugo did the artistic work. Yes, it has been sent to the local paper and loads of members of the public came past and took photos - until the night when urchin decapitated him!

They seem to close the schools very easily these days at the slightest hint of snow or ice. Again, the roads and pavements round here are almost completely clear, still some snow in the gardens and fields but no frost last night. I assume all the teachers are fully up-to-date with their marking and class preparation work, working from home during normal hours.

Lucky you ... in Wiltshire, we've just been told no school again today (third day running). Getting a bit silly, because the problem now is apparently not snow, but ice.

Apart from the fact that it's not ice, but slush, who ever heard of 'school closed because of ice'? Another example of our H&S obsessed culture.

So another day entertaining children. Anyone know how to build a slushman?

Snow, what snow? It has almost all gone here in sunny Lancashire, just the remnants of yesterday's snowmen but all the schools in our area were open and the roads are nice and clear. Yesterday was a bit quiet in the evening, most people booked earlier in the day to get home before dark but today has been OK.
