I'm not sure that we should entirely bemoan the RCVS engaging with it members on digital platforms in the 21st century: many indeed have asked why they don't show up here (and similar arenas) that often...

Oh who knows, but it's the same reason RCVS have an App of the Code for the users of complicated mobile phones. As I understand it, polished phone apps cost at least £20K to develop. Then there's the Metropolitan premium of course. All of this to achieve what exactly? I wonder if we'll ever be able to find out how many downloads of the App there are to work out the cost per download, let alone cost per viewing, let alone the value fo it all.

Ah didn't you know? The IT spend has been moved in the accounts from a capital item to P&L, so it's kind of hidden. The old supplier of the poorly specified and project managed IT system has not been dropped.......This is all RFP money.

Anyway back to the first question - How much does the person updating the RCVS Facebook page get paid? Any ideas?

Absolutely - we should know salary ranges for particular posts even if not to the penny! We are paying the wages so should be able to gauge value for money!
