I think I used the words "when hell freezes over" and several variations on a theme with multiple expletives when they last contacted me. Seems that worked when my polite requests to stop harrassing me failed.

yep, RCVS not interested - 'PIC would not consider it worth referring forwards'. my vets would like me to stop it happening. v4p can stick it, can't see my lot leaving a hospital for a one man band.

Certainly in commerce it goes like this:

1. You ring an agency wanting an employee

2. You accept the employee from the agency, pay their fee and are happy.

3. Agency rings said employee offering a fantastic better job at a higher salary etc.

4. Employee leaves and you are back to square one.

5. Agency gets another fee from the next employee.

and so on.

I don't think I ever got a good employee from an agency, best come from personal recommendation or short locum type trials.

A railway arch in Brixton for a new veterinary clinic in Hampstead was the usual [actual] sort of analogy!

you should be happy that your vets are passing this on to you! i dont think the RCVS will have much to do with it. i imagin ein the corporate world its pretty common practice and with corporate vets will come corporate practices, doesnt make it right though!

Hanna I've had this happen to me twice. On both occasions further digging led to the discovery yet again that it was v4p using a recruitment agency. Cue lots of expletives...

We have had people manage to con private mobile numbers for vets out of receptionists, and there was that notorious crowd of financial advisers based in Centerpoint in London that kept phoning me trying to sell me MIPs ( maximum investment plans)...Dr A-hole wants to talk to you...must be about a referral, OMG which one, i can't remember, he'll think I'm an idiot ...then it's all about ...'have you thought about your future...?'

they can be very convincing to receptionists.....
