I guess the 'licensing' included various software upgrades and licenses too. Our 'server' is a standard desktop PC spec and runs fine.

Most systems don't need an expensive servers at all. We had Robovet for a bit but were never that impressed.

We have Ezvetpro and have just replaced all the hardware (5 terminals) for a couple of grand total! When these die I suspect we will go for a cloud based system but at the moment the staff would strike if I tried to change!

Still cannot work out why you need a 7 grand server even in a very large practice!

currently on robovet by vet solutions, which is a really good system. have seen a few adverts around for cloud based ones and as we may be moving sites soon a wireless solution without servers sounded quite good. as well as issues mentioned in my initial post

What system are you using at the moment? A £7.5K fix seems mighty expensive to me!
