I have one hard and fast rule.

NEVER click a link in an email to a website where I know I will be asked to enter information of any sort.

If I am asked to enter information that I might want to enter, then I go to my browser, type the url and visit the site 'manually'. That way I know I am on the website belonging to my bank, british telecom, amazon, etc etc.

My parents just got caught by this one as well - apparently an email account very similar to theres was also set up and all their incoming emails diverted to it. All-in-all, took quite a bit of sorting out! Lucy

The problem is that these spam emails are getting more and more convincing. They seem more and more relevant. The poor grammar and spelling is almost a thing of the past!

The spam filter works well on my computer most of the time but the emails on my phone (Windows 8) show just how many are being intercepted!
