It weighs a ton and is built like a tank! It is on a service contract and touch wood has been good. Apparently newer ones weigh half as much and are half as well built!

Ours is a Liarre Neptune Print (Excel do the service contract) and been using it for about 8 years now.

Re: Anima autoclaves

My autoclave engineer told me last month that Prestige now manufacture their autoclaves in China and the quality has declined significantly- mainly just made of lesser quality materials. My thoughts entirely. I also feel that the company can't tell you that new instruction manuals contain the warning about tape and that they will send the new manual for us to use! The manufacturers of the tape have also not been notified and are mystified by the warning.

Re: Anima autoclaves

Jeepers. Did go back and they seem to have sorted the issue.

Prestige have been great and always had a loan machine to me in a couple of days.

My understanding is a vacuum autoclave is an intrinsically complicated bit of kit and must not be compared with the older (non vacuum) autoclaves that went on forever.

I'm just glad that the Presige ones are made here, the service guys are not far away and all parts are available. I intend to keep it under a service contract (it needs inspecting anyway for the insurance and a service).

I know people who have been in a worse position with cheaper units from the internet and other suppliers......
