Perhaps at the next annual service I will get them to take it out of the circuit and install a generator.

Smoke and a bang- burnt out circuit board. Originally from Kruuse, they sent up a new circuit board to fit and when that didn't work a replacement solenoid. Now back to working and such a benefit to not have weekly oxygen deliveries. I have it delivering to 2 anaesthetic machines as 10l/min. I wouldn't go back to cylinders.

Re: Oxygen generators- any good?

Don't forget the back up plan

Very useful, and saves £££s on gases.

It does take a couple of minutes to warm up so you need cylinders alongside if you need o2 immediately.

Re: Oxygen generators- any good?

I like mine, but haven't yet gotten round to attaching it to my anaesthetic machine! I really got it for O2 therapy, means I can have an animal on oxygen while another is under GA. I also use it for my cats who get triple combo, and on recovery. Keep meaning to get it linked up to anaesthetic machine, but it's really handy the way it is!

Re: Oxygen generators- any good?

We have one that seems to work well but the noise from it does get a bit annoying from my point of view, but then if I was the one footing the oxygen bills it might seem less annoying!?

Re: Oxygen generators- any good?

We have the Burtons one. It is excellent and saves us lots of money on BOC. They do warm the room a little which is good in winter but not always so good in the middle of a hot summer. Background noise not a problem and you soon get used to it. You still need a couple of oxygen canisters on your trolley in case of power cuts or equipment failure.

Re: Oxygen generators- any good?

Eickemeyer sells has sold hundred of oxygen generators.
