opted for cr30x by a country mile! fastee by far but image qualitywas the decider. We put the screens beside each other and it made for an easy choice.

we use the agfa software to export a .jpg to our networked hdd via our ethernet. we then link these files to pets case in voyager. we will walk through to the fancy monitor and view the diacom on occasion. no expensive software needed.

the box of tricks is huge though!

We spent far too much time looking into this. hope this helps..

Re: digital x-ray CR processor

I've used the latter two.

Personal opinion only, but Agfa by far the best - so much so, that I wouldn't consider any of the others (personally).

Why? Initial image quality is great, meaning the algorithms are set up superbly so that the image is crisp, detailed and rarely needs alteration post-processing if your exposures are in the right ballpark. Quick processing. Software is easy to use yet sophisticated, without tending to babyish, clunky or otherwise.

Integration with software is a tricky one. Many places I've worked have, through a third party provider, used an internet-based viewer that means whilst the images aren't linked directly to a file, you can manipulate them more, and, y extension, view them from anywhere with an internet connection - perfect for second opinions from a sunbed...

Re: digital x-ray CR processor

I got the Fuji Prima T a few months ago and I really like it so far. Small (space is definitely an issue in my practice), easy to use, reliable so far. No problem with image quality and the software is fairly user friendly. Hope that helps :)

I don't have mine integrated with my practice management system but I believe the facility is there to do it without great difficulty.
