We've had this discussion before and personally I think they can give s/c injections - as farmers, owners etc can.

This at least is nothing particularly new; people have been trying to use SA chipping as a money spinner for years. The free chipping that DT and co have been doing recently may affect that in the short term, however.

Anyone can place a sub cut chip.

In horses it is an act of veterinary surgery as placed in nuchal ligament.

Went to a game fair recently and £6 per chip implanted, 2 dogs for a tenner.
