As far as my cat is concerned, I am simply part of the bed that is inserted under the duvet to make it into a more comfortable cat bed. She got very miffed last night when I wouldn't pull the duvet over myself and walked up and down over me until I relented!

Laurence, I don't see what your point is here. It is not a road, it is a long, tarmac lined, feline sunbed. You are plainly quite ridiculous if you think it's acceptable to drive a car down it when it is in use.

I am quite up-to-date on the status quo here... For instance, my cat has a large double bed in a bedroom that used to belong to me; I have to ask his permission to sleep in it.

The TdF cyclists have got their cold/wet weather gear on today! Mind you, maybe they're grateful they're not going up the Madeleine in 34 degrees. Me? I'm loving it. Let's hope that the horse I'm just about to exercise agrees.
